As a certified professional coach, Kan helps purpose-driven leaders and organizations realize their visions through cultivating wisdom and effectiveness. Prior to his coaching career, Kan worked as an international humanitarian for the United Nations, a lawyer for the US Federal Courts, and a management consultant for McKinsey & Company where he consulted Fortune 500 clients across numerous industries with a focus on organizational health and leadership development. He has spent more than two decades cultivating wisdom and mindfulness practices. A certified meditation teacher certification and a participant in Spirit Rock’s Advanced Practitioner Program, Kan has taught mindfulness at work to numerous organizations and currently teaches Buddhist meditation and philosophy in a number of communities. He developed the global mindfulness community at McKinsey which created an internal network of mindfulness champions to provide mindfulness-at-work seminars to hundreds of consultants. He convened McKinsey’s Mindfulness Leaders Gatherings which brought together mindfulness-at-work champions from dozens of corporations to share best practices. He also designed and facilitated the Inner Wisdom Retreat which convened CXOs from some of the largest organizations in the world to learn about mindful leadership. In addition to his coaching practice, Kan is also a strategist in the emerging field of psychedelic medicine.
